What does Michelin say about El Rincón de Juan Carlos from Tenerife?
If you are looking for a great gourmet experience and you still don't know the elaborate proposal of the Padrón brothers (Juan Carlos and Jonathan) at the Royal Hideaway Corales Beach... you should book a table now! The restaurant, located on the 5th floor of this groundbreaking design hotel, captivates everyone who visits it, both for the ocean views (and sunset) from some tables and for the service and gastronomic level they offer, because... many dishes manage to move you! True to their philosophy, they opt for the Canary Islands recipe book from a creative point of view, always with high levels of refinement in the presentations. Their offer is specified in a single and extensive tasting menu, with different pairing options, which has surprised us with dishes such as the Onion soup and broken flan, the Clam and mussel combination, the magical Sweet tree with which they present the petit fours... or their fantastic Canary Island black pudding nougat with almond praline, a classic of the house.
What does Michelin say about Voro from Mallorca?
It is located in a separate building of the Cap Vermell Grand Hotel and shows an unequivocal desire to conquer the world; it is not in vain that it takes its name from a Latin term meaning "to devour". In its beautiful dining rooms, with very high ceilings, you will discover the culinary philosophy of chef Álvaro Salazar, a man who bases his efforts on a single idea: to create a "gastronomy without ties, committed to the environment and with Mediterranean roots". What will you find? Two modern-creative tasting menus (Voro and Devoro) that surprise both by the detail and meticulousness in the presentations and by the fact of trying to tell a story in each dish, with nods to the chef's professional achievements, to his native Linares (Jaén), to the island of Mallorca, to the Mediterranean Sea... The menus, which mix seasonal dishes with other iconic ones of the house, take as reference for their development three stages alluding to the sun (Albor, Zénit and Ocaso).
